Currently I'm a Communications and Multimedia Design student at the NHL university of applied sciences in the Netherlands. This course is project based, which basically means we get our credits through working on projects. These projects where mostly ficticious assignments for real companies and institutions. Most of the time there will be a representative of the company in question, who will give feedback and advise on the product.

In this context I have worked on the following projects, from first to latest:

  1. Gerard Borgeld Reizen (travel agency) website.
  2. Centrum voor de Kunsten, Sneek(performing arts centre) -educational cd-rom.
  3. Novib Oxfam. -edutainment cd-rom.
  4. Campina, Brazzor(ice coffee,fict.) -marketing campain
  5. Uitgeverij Wolters-Noordhof(publisher) -educational cd-rom
  6. Milanov Photo, Amsterdam -Stockphoto site.
  7. Onderzoek en advies (consultancy) Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden

Internship

I have run an internship for five months at regional broadcaster Omrop Fryslân. I was active on the design department.

accomplishments:

  • Logo, leader, bumpers, lower third and credits of the coocking show 'Lekker Ite mei Reitse'.
  • Redesign of the Omrop Fryslân annual calendar.
  • Design of a programming folder.
  • Design of a flyer.
  • Leader design for a christmas concert.
  • Leader design for a new year's show.

Other minor accomplishments at this internship:

  • Made several amiga's and small animations for the news broadcast amongst others.
  • Prepared the titles of the police show 'Plysjepost', every two weeks.
  • Prepared the 'kultuer aginda', a commercial block for cultural events and publications.
  • Short leader of a documentary on the wife of painter Rembrandt.
  • 65 weather icons for use on their new website.
